The Forest Education Foundation was formed in 1989 as a joint initiative between the forest industries of Tasmania and Forestry Tasmania and is registered with the Commonwealth Government as a not-for-profit educational institution. FEF provides a range of school-based educational resources and activities. Supported by field experiences for students and professional learning opportunities for teachers.

Project Forest provides a wealth of information under six broad headings;

  • Forest Systems
  • Forest management
  • Timber processing
  • Changing technology
  • Changing values and perceptions
  • Supporting resources
